Lucia De Garcia, Businessperson, Laureate Author, Inspirational Speaker

Lucia De Garcia is the Founder, President and CEO of Élan International based in Newport Beach, California. Élan assists both foreign and domestic enterprises in Latin American business practices, opening new markets and expanding market share throughout the hemisphere.
She is the founder of the Multicultural Institute for Leadership, trustee emeritus of the Jane Goodall Institute, member of the World Academy of Arts and Culture, and the World Poet Society. Among her contributions is her participation as a member of the board and Chairman of the International Trade Committee for the Latin Business Association (LBA).
Lucia De Garcia was awarded the President’s Gold Medal from The World Academy of Arts and Culture (WAAC) at the XXVII World Congress of Poets for her literary excellence and great contribution to the world brotherhood on behalf of Unity and Peace. This highest recognition was conferred by Dr. Justice S. Mohan, the WAAC’s President, in Chennai, India in September 2007 with the attendance of eminent personalities from across the world.

Lucia has appeared on several national and international radio and television programs and has been recognized for numerous achievements in international business and multicultural advancement. She is profiled in the 1996 Simon & Schuster’s “Latino Success, Insights from 100 of America’s Most Powerful Latino Business Professionals.” She is considered a Latino Leader at national and international level.

Born in Colombia, South America, Lucia De García is multi-lingual and multi-cultural, enjoys reading, traveling, and the fine arts. When not traveling to meet the demand to speak all over the world, she makes her home in Orange County, California.
